Resolve to strengthen participation in national affairs

Asmara, 10 January 2022- At a public seminar the Eritrean Embassy organized, Eritrean nationals residing in the port city of Mombasa, Eritre, expressed readiness to strengthen participation in national affairs. At the seminar, Mr. Beyene Russom, Eritrean Ambassador to Kenya, gave an extensive briefing on the objective situation in the homeland as well as regional developments.

Providing an extensive briefing on the opportunities and challenges created by the peace and cooperation agreement reached between Eritrean and Ethiopia in 2018, Ambassador Beyene said that the instability being witnessed in the region is the making of external forces that are not pleased with the promising situation prevailing. Eritrean delegation participates at COMESA summit

Asmara, 22 July 2019 – Eritrea participated at the ‘Source 21’ Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) International Trade Fair and High – Level Business Summit. The Eritrean delegation led by Mr. Beyene Russom, Ambassador of Eritrea to Kenya, has participated at the summit which was conducted from 17-21 July in Nairobi, Kenya.

At the opening ceremony, President Uhuru Kenyatta of the Republic of Kenya, President Paramasivum Pillay of Mauritius, President Edgar Lungu of Zambia, President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda, as well as ministers and higher Government officials of member states were presented. Read more

Asmara, 10 July 2019- Eritrean delegation led by Mr. Beyene Russom, Eritrean Ambassador to Kenya is taking part at the two-day African High-level Conference on Counter Terrorism and the Prevention of Violent Extremism Conducive to Terrorism that is taking place in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Conference that convened today, 10 July was officially opened by the United Nations Secretary General, Mr. Antonio Guterres. Read more

Asmara, 01 July 2019 –The Eritrean Embassy in Kenya organized a ceremony in connection with the 28th Independence Day anniversary on 28 June in Nairobi, Kenya.

At the event in which a number of Kenyan high-level officials, members of the diplomatic community and representatives of regional and international organizations and associations attended, Ambassador of Eritrea to Kenya, Mr. Beyene Russom, expressing his gratitude for the participants gave briefing regarding the struggle and sacrifice the Eritrean people have to go through in the last 50 years. Mr. Beyene went on to say that the new era of peace and friendship as well as the hopeful prospect prevailing in the region are outcomes of the Eritrean people’s resilience and steadfastness. Kenyan and Ethiopian leaders arrive in Asmara for official visit

Asmara, 03 March 2019- President Uhuru Kenyatta of the Republic of Kenya and Dr. Abiy Ahmed Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia arrive in separate flights in Asmara in the morning hours of today, 3 March for an official visit.

Upon arrival at the Asmara International Airport the two leaders were awarded warm welcome by Presidents Isaias Afwerki and other Eritrean senior government officials accompanied with guard of honor.
