Asmara, 31 October 2019- Eritrean nationals in Germany, Angola, Holland and South Sudan have conducted various activities consolidating their attachment with their homeland.

According to report, the Central Germany organization of PFDJ held its annual meeting on 26 October in the city of Frankfurt.

Explaining on the objective situation in the homeland, Mr. Yohannes Woldu, Charge d’Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy in Germany, said that the political development unfolding in the region following the peace and friendship agreement between Eritrea and Ethiopia is positively impacting the political, economic and diplomatic activities and called on citizens in general and the PFDJ organization in particular to strengthen contribution. Ladies and Gentlemen;

It gives me a great pleasure to welcome you all to Asmara.

My thanks goes to the ACERWC and its Secretariat for convening this timely and important Workshop on popularization of Africa’s Agenda for Children 2040 in Eritrea.  I am sure this august assembly will find the Report of the Study on Children on the Move very insightful and highly relevant to the policies that individual member States will chart out to eliminate or mitigate the adverse dimensions of this malaise. Material support to NAEWDV

Asmara, 28 October 2019- The German branch of the National Association of Eritrean War Disabled Veterans extended material support to the Denden Camp clinic.

The material support that was handed over today, 29 October included four refrigerators, four stoves, four washing machines and other kitchen utensils.

According to Mr. Husein Kelifa, chairman of the branch association in Germany, the material support was made by the Eritrean community members in the city of Boblingen. Read more

4th Congress of NAEWDV commences

Asmara, 26 October 2019 – The National Association of the Eritrean War Disabled Veterans (NAEWDV) is conducting its 4th Congress here in the Capital, Asmara, from 25 and 26 October.

At the opening ceremony in which senior Government and PFDJ officials, representatives of regional branches and invited guests took part, guest of honor, Ms. Luul Gebreab, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare gave an opening speech and stating that the event must be analyzed from the point of view that the event is the outcome of the heavy sacrifice the Eritrean people paid in realizing a free and prosperous nation as well as safeguarding its sovereignty. President Isaias met and held talks with UN Deputy G. Secretary

Asmara, 26 October 2019- President Isaias Afwerki met today, at Adi Halo, the joint UN-AU delegation led by Deputy Secretary General, Ms. Amina Mohammed. The delegation is on a two-day visit to Eritrea to highlight “the critical role of women’s meaningful participation in peace, security and development”.

President Isaias underlined that the joint high-level visit was testimony to the deepening of cooperation and engagement between Eritrea and the UN. The President elucidated Eritrea’s experience in the national liberation struggle and subsequent phase of nation-building. Read more
