PFDJ Conference in Switzerland

Asmara, 10 November 2011 – The PFDJ branch in Switzerland conducted its 8th conference on 7 November in Bern.

At the conference that was conducted with limited participation of members due to the guidelines issued by the respective country to combat the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, two years activity report was presented in terms of strengths and weaknesses witnessed as well as the charted out future programs.

At the reports, the PFDJ sub-branches highlighted on the activities and contributions of the nationals during the COVID-19 pandemic and argued to strengthen organizational capacity and increase participation in national affairs. Read more

Material donation to NAEWDV

Asmara, 16 July 2021- Eritrean community in Switzerland donated nine wheel chairs to the National Association of Eritrean War Disabled Veterans.

At the handing over ceremony conducted at the central office of the association, Ms. Senait Tewoldemedhin, representative of the community, said that supporting war disabled veterans is the responsibility of every citizen and called on others to follow the noble example. Read more

Asmara, 22 July 2019 – Graced by the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Osman Saleh, nationals residing in Switzerland enthusiastically conducted annual festival on 20 July in Bern.

Asmara, December 7, 2017 – Switzerland has signed an agreement with UNDP pledging US$ 2,112,000 (two million, one hundred and twelve thousand US dollars) to support Eritrea youth in skills development. In line with SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth, the skills development, employment and migration project will enhance youth participation in sustainable economic activities and Nation building.
