Asmara, 09 January 2020 – Nationals residing in Australia and Sweden conducted various activities depicting their attachment with the homeland.
According to report, the Eritrean Community festival in Australia was conducted from 3-5 January in Melbourne under the theme “Resilience for Higher Progress” featuring cultural and artistic performances.
Speaking at the 20th annual festival that was attended by nationals from various cities of Australia and New Zealand as well as invited guests, Mr. Tekeste Mehari, General Consul at the Eritrean Embassy in Australia, stating that various infrastructures that can serve as springboard for lasting development were implemented in 2019 said that double fold effort will be exerted in the New Year in ensuring the development of the country and called for reinforced contribution on the part of nationals. NUEW Swedish branch: activity assessment meeting
The Swedish branch of the National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) held six months activity assessment meeting on 21 and 22 April in Stockholm. At the meeting in which representatives from the Swedish cities of Stockholm, Uppsala, Orebro, Gothenburg, Skara, Onebi, Lund, Malmo, Smaland and Flen took part, extensive discussion was held on the activity reports presented as well as on the future plan of activity. Festival of Eritrean community members in Scandinavia concludes with patriotic fervor
Asmara, 29 July 2013 – The 4-day annual festival of Eritrean community members in Scandinavia was concluded yesterday with patriotic fervor in the presence of Foreign Minister Osman Saleh and Ms. Leul Gebreab, Chairperson of the NUEW.
In the course of the concluding program, Ms. Tsigereda Berhe, Secretary of the community’s holidays coordinating committee, pointed out that the event could be successful thanks to the all-round active participation witnessed on the part of the nationals.
