Asmara, 19 March 2019- The senior Eritrean delegation comprising Mr. Osman Sale, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Presidential Adviser Mr. Yeman Gebreab held second meeting in the morning hours of today, 19 March with President

Muse Bihi Abdi with a view to deepen the issues raised in their first meeting.

The delegation also met with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Interior, Finance as well as members of the Houses of Elders and Representatives. Read more

Senior Eritrean delegation on working visit to Somaliland

Asmara, 18 March 2019- Senior Eritrean delegation comprising Mr. Osman Saleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Presidential Advisor Mr. Yemane Gebreab are on a working visit to Somaliland.

The delegation met and held talks in Hargeisa with President Muse Bihi Abdi who expressed appreciation for the initiative Eritrea took. The President also briefed the delegation on the objective situation in the Somaliland and its stance on various issues. Read more

أعلنت السلطات في منطقة “أرض الصومال”، الثلاثاء، أنها لن تسمح لطائرات الأمم المتحدة بالطيران فوق مجالها الجوي، وذلك ردا على استعادة الصومال التحكم بمجاله الجوي وفقا لاتفاق مع المنظمة الدولية ومنظمة الاتصالات العالمية.

وقال محمد حاشي وزير الطيران المدني والنقل الجوي لـ”أرض الصومال”، الإقليم الذي أعلن الانفصال عن الصومال الأم من جانب واحد في عام 1991، إن “وزارة الطيران المدني والنقل الجوي تحظر وبشكل مؤقت هبوط ومرور طائرات الأمم المتحدة في مجالنا الجوي، لأنهم تصرفوا بشكل غير لائق، وجمهورية أرض الصومال تتولى التحكم في مجالها الجوي”. Somaliland: Mogadishu Lays Claim to Berbera Portby Yusuf M Hasan | HARGEISA (Somalilandsun) – The new administration in Mogadishu has finally revealed its true face as pertains to Somaliland. The Somali federal Government has laid claim to the Berbera port in Somaliland which it claims as one of that country’s major ports together with those in Mogadishu, Kismayo and Bosaso.

In an interview with the Somali state TV channel in Istanbul recently the Somali president Hasan Sheikh Mahmud informed that his administration is in advanced stages of consolidating public sources of finances especially those from the ports. Read more
