Seminar to Eritrean nationals in Riyadh

Asmara, 23 November 2019- Mr. Osman Saleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs, conducted seminar to the participants of the annual Eritrean community festival in Riyadh and its environs on 22 November focusing of the objective situation in the homeland, big national development programs as well as regional developments.

Indicating that following the peace and friendship agreement signed by Eritrea and Ethiopia on 9 July 2019 encouraging atmosphere of cooperation and integration is unfolding,  Minister Osman said that the Government of Eritrea is conducting successful diplomatic activity with a view to ensure regional peace, security and development. Asmara, 21 November 2019- The 22nd annual Eritrean community festival in Riyadh and its environs was officially opened on 20 November by Mr. Osman Saleh, Minster of Foreign Affairs.

The opening ceremony in which Ms. Tekea Tesfamicael, President of the NUEW took part was featured by performances depicting the culture and tradition of the Eritrean ethnic groups as well as photo exhibition of the historical and art-deco buildings of Asmara, innovation and creativity as well as entertainment programs by students of the Eritrean International School. Asmara, 16 November 2019- Mr. Osman Saleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs, conducted seminar to the participants of the Eritrean community festival in Jeddah and its environs on the objective situation in the homeland and regional developments as well as on the charted out national development program with a view to improve the livelihoods of citizens.

Indicating that the peace and friendship agreement signed between Eritrea and Ethiopia attests to the relentless diplomatic effort by the Government of Eritrea, Minister Osman said that the positive engagement and respect to each other will have significant contribution in the peace and stability in the region. President Isaias received senior Saudi delegation

Asmara, 06 August 2019- President Isaias Afwerki today, 6 August, received and held talks with senior Saudi delegation led by Let. Gen. Prince Fahad bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, Commander of the Coalition Forces against Terrorism.

The meeting that was held at the State Palace was focused on the development of bilateral relations between Eritrea and Saudi Arabia as well as security of the Red Sea region. Read more

Eritreans in Riyadh and its environs celebrate Independence Day anniversary

Asmara, 08 June 2019- Eritrean nationals in Riyadh and its environs, Saudi Arabia enthusiastically celebrated the 28th Independence Day anniversary on 6 June under the theme “Resilience for Higher Progress”.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Weyni Gerezgihier, Charge d’Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy in Saudi Arabia, indicated that this year’s Independence Day is being celebrated at a time of new era of peace and cooperation prevailing in the region and that is the result of unity and perseverance of the Eritrean people and its leadership. Ms. Weyni also expressed her firm belief that the national development program will be successfully implemented through popular participation. Read more
