Senior Delegation on Working Visit to Morocco
Asmara, 15 March 2017 – A senior Eritrean delegation comprising Foreign Minister Osman Saleh and Presidential Advisor Mr. Yemane Gebreab is on a three day working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco.
The Eritrean delegation met the Moroccan Foreign Minister, Mr. Salehaddin Mzwar and delivered a message from President Isaias Afwerki to King Mohamed the Sixth. Read more

Ambassador presents credentials
Asmara, 15 December 2016- The Eritrean Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Mr. Petros Tsegai presented credential to Mr. Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus as non-resident Ambassador.
At the event held on 13 December, Ambassador Petros conveyed a message of good will from President Isaias Afwerki. He also gave briefing as regards the current situation and Eritrea’s readiness to create strong cooperation with Belarus.
President Lukashenko on his part expressed his country’s eagerness to strengthen relations and cooperation with Eritrea in all sectors. He also wished good health to President Isaias Afwerki as well as peace and stability to the Eritrean people.
A High Level Ethiopian Delegation Sent to Russia to Muzzle ESAT Fails
In a desperate attempt to silence an independent Ethiopian TV and radio broadcasting service, the Ethiopian government has reportedly sent a high level delegation to Russia. It was found that the primary mission of the delegation was to demand the Russian government to drop from its satellite the broadcasting of news and programming by the Ethiopian Satellite Television and Radio, known popularly as ESAT. South Sudan sanctions ‘blocked by Russia and Angola’
Russia and Angola have opposed moves at the UN Security Council to impose sanctions on a South Sudan general and a rebel commander, diplomats say. The US had proposed a travel ban and asset freeze on army chief Paul Malong and rebel general Johnson Olony for continuing to fuel conflict. Read more
