Eritrea symbol of social justice and...

Asmara, 28 May 2011 – The Eritrean Charge d’Affaires in the Scandinavian countries, Mr. Yonnas Mana, said that the nation has become symbol of social justice and independent path through rebuffing various enemy acts of hostility and conspiracy.

In a meeting he held with Eritrean citizens living in Sweden, Mr Yonnas indicated that enemy quarters have committed historical blunder for the second time through resorting to unjust move as a result of their frustration over the Eritrean people’s integrated rebuff. In this respect, he stated that the latest ploy is being foiled as ever through the firm unity of the Eritrean people.

Mr. Yonnas further pointed out that the ever more colorful celebrations of the 20th anniversary of Independence Day conveyed strong message to hostile quarters. He also called on Eritrean nationals in different parts of the world to enhance participation in the national cause.

A total of 101 Eritrean students, including one pilot graduated in various fields on the occasion. Read more

Torch of independence Sets off in...

Mendefera, May 3, 2011- As part of the preparations to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Independence, a torch of independence that is to reach all parts of the Southern region has started off from Serha town.

The procession, in which religious leaders, youths, and members of the defence forces are taking part has been accorded a warm welcome by the inhabitants of Senafe sub-zone.

The torch is expected to go through all parts of the Southern region in the course of the coming days.
