The accusation by some foreign forces...

Asmara, 20 Oct0ber 2011- The repeated and wearisome allegation that “Eritrea is supporting terrorists” is unfounded indictment by some foreign forces, said Mr. Beyene Russom, the Eritrean Ambassador to Kenya.

Replying to a question “Is it true that the Eritrean Embassy in Nairobi is used as a conduit to fund terrorism in Somalia?, Ambassador Beyene stressed that the Eritrean Embassy in Kenya leave alone to get involved in activities that go against the Laws of Kenya it had never taught of it. He further indicated that Eritrea is a country which fights terrorism in principle, and that history is a witness. Read more

Asmara, 5 October 2011 – Ambassador Fisehatsion Petros, Head of Desks in the Eritrean Foreign Ministry, disclosed that security forces of the TPLF regime harassed an Eritrean diplomat at Bole Airport, in addition to searching and confiscating property and documents in his possession in gross violation of international law and the Vienna Convention.   Read more

President Isaias hold talks with Heads...

Asmara, 21 September 2011 – President Isaias Afwerki held talks in New York on September 20 with the Presidents of Guinea and Senegal as well as the Chinese Foreign Minister.

In his meeting with President Alpha Conde of Guinea, President Isaias and the Guinean leader agreed to work together towards enabling Africa to solve its own issues, play due role at international forums taking into account the number of the people and resources, as well as strengthening cooperation among African countries and reinforcing the AU. They also agreed on Eritrean-Guinean collaboration in essential development sectors.
