Eritrean President leaves for Kenya to take part in the country’s 50th Independence Day anniversary celebrations

Asmara, 11 December 2013 – President Isaias Afwerki today left for Kenya to take part in the country’s 50th Independence Day anniversary celebrations due to take place tomorrow. On arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyata International Airport, he was accorded warm welcome accompanied by traditional cultural performances, according to reports.

More than 20 African leaders are due to take part in the observance.
