Preparations finalized to relocate displaced inhabitants of Siraro

Assab, 19 July 2011 – The necessary preparations are being finalized to relocate the displaced inhabitants of Siraro following the volcanic eruption to Alalie, Beilul administrative area, where they can get better access to water supply and shelter, stated the Administrator of the Southern Red Sea region, Mr. Ali Mohammed. He made the statement during a tour to the site were inhabitants are presently settled.

The Administrator indicated that the people and Government are extending the necessary support to the displaced nationals.

Likewise, village elders, religious leaders, Assembly members, Area administrators visited the nationals and expressed readiness to extend their assistance.
Reports also indicated that youths in Assab and EDF members are building houses for the displaced nationals in Alalie.
