More than 300 000 nationals take part in National Festival in Dekemhare

More than 300 nationals take part in National Festival in DekemhareDekemhare, 24 August 2013 – The Managing Director of the Administration of the Southern region, Ms. Fana Tesfamariam, pointed out that more than 300 000 nationals from inside the country and abroad have so far taken part in the National Festival in Dekemhare which was launched officially on the 17th of this month.

She further indicated that a number of inhabitants of the region have visited the grounds on the basis of groups, and that it has witnessed various participants from remote areas. Moreover, Ms. Fana explained that the event has portrayed the Eritrean culture in its variety adequately, and lauded the hospitality of the residents of Dekemhare city.

Among the residents, Mr. Yonas Gebrehiwet, Ms. Sara Sium, Ms. Zaid Kesete and Mr. Nur-Hussein Ibrahim expressed satisfaction with the conducting of the Festival, and stated that city residents are demonstrating active participation to this end.
