Eritreans in Israel celebrate Independence Day anniversary

Asmara, 06 June 2019- Eritrean nationals in Israel enthusiastically celebrated the 28th Independence Day anniversary on 1 June in Tel Aviv.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Solomon Kinfe, Charge d’Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy in Israel, said that the Eritrean people in the past 20 years have emerged victorious in the face of hostilities and conspiracies that have been targeting its independence and sovereignty and have embarked to a new era of peace and cooperation. Mr. Solomon also congratulated the people and Government of Eritrea.

Indicating that the new era of peace has its own opportunities and challenges, Mr. Solomon called for strengthening organizational capacity and contribution in the national development drives.

The event was highlighted by music performance by renowned artists including Artist Tekle Kiflemeriam (Wedi Tikul) from Eritrea.
