Eritrean Embassy in South Sudan evacuates 130 nationals from MalakalAsmara, 07 December 2014 – The Eritrean Embassy in South Sudan indicated that it evacuated a total of 130 nationals from Malakal who have been displaced from their homes from the 18th of last month to the 5th of January.

The citizens currently in Juba city had sought refuge in the compound of a UN office and their relocation could be fulfilled though rental of a charter aircraft. The collaboration of the Eritrean community members in Juba with the Embassy was significant in that they have sustained provision of basic subsistence facilities to the fellow nationals who faced confiscation of personal property and business assets, according to reports.

It is to be recalled that the Eritrean Embassy evacuated a number of citizens in the same manner from Beantiyu to Juba.
