Eritrea will come up stronger due to the independent path and clear vision it put in place: Minister Osman SalehAsmara, 27 July 2013- In a seminar he conducted during the 15th annual festival of Eritrean community members in Scandinavian countries, Mr. Osman Saleh, Foreign Minister, pointed out that Eritrea will come up stronger due to the independent path and clear vision it put in place with the stance of self-reliance.

In the extensive briefing he conducted as regards the objective situation in the Homeland, regional and global situation, Mr. Osman said that the Eritrean people inside the country and abroad, the Government and the People’s Front are doing all-round miracles. He further reiterated that the nation’s human capacity is the vital national resources it is proud of, and called on festival participants to develop skill and knowledge in the countries they live and apply it to the advantage of their country and people.

Mr. Osman further underlined that the unfounded allegations and sanctions against Eritrea have been foiled by the strong resistance of the Eritrean people, and called for reinforcement of all-round capacity and put it to the national advantage.

The participants on their part raised different questions regarding national, regional and global issues, and expressed readiness to strengthen unity and conduct staunch resistance against external conspiracies.

Likewise, in a seminar she conducted regarding the heroic feat of Eritrean women, Ms. Leul Gebreab, Chairperson of NUEW, gave extensive briefing regarding the development of global women’s struggle in general and the role of Eritrean women before and after independence in particular.

She further indicated the efforts being conducted to nurture Eritrean woman equipped with knowledge and skill, and expressed appreciation for the efforts the members of NUEW in the Scandinavian countries are exerting to help compatriots living in the Homeland.

The members of the NUEW conducted extensive discussion on the development and objective situation of their Union and expressed appreciation for the far-reaching briefing they received.

The event witnessed different cultural activities presented by Eritrean youth and children born in the Scandinavian countries and by Walta Cultural Troupe.

The 15th annual festival of Eritrean community members in the Scandinavian countries will continue until 28 July.
