Commemoration Of Martyrs Day In Nacfa Shoulders Heavy Responsibility, Say Participants

Nacfa, 20 June 2011 – The commemoration of Martyrs Day in the historic Nacfa town shoulders heavy responsibility, beyond remembering fallen heroes, stated nationals who conducted candle light vigil in Patriots Cemetery in Nacfa.

Ms. Askalu Tesfai from Germany said that Nacfa represents a major reference of past struggle of the Eritrean people, and that conducting candle light vigil in the historic front gives one deep moral satisfaction.

Fighter Dehab Abai who spent all her struggle life in Nacfa said on her part that the great Day conveys special message to the entire nationals to renew pledge in honoring the trust of martyrs.

Still another participant, Mr. Mohammed Ali Mohammed, resident of the town, said that martyrs have been compensated by the existing firm unity and dedication being demonstrated to honor their trust.

Reports indicated that thousands of nationals from inside the country and abroad, as well as residents of the town conducted candle light vigil from Fidel “Pe” Patriots Cemetery to Jira-Fiyori on June 19, 2011. Besides, musical drama titled “Hafash mis Tabatatu” and documentary film under the title “Kebeba Nacfa” presented on the occasion.
