During an afforestation venture they conducted yesterday around Emba-Derho area in connection with the event, the employees of the Ministry of Agriculture indicated that such activity should be pursued as a norm and popularized among the young generation.

Mr. Huruy Asgedom, director general of extension department in the Ministry, and Mr. Abraha Garza, head of the Forestry and Wildlife Authority, pointed out that the planting of seedlings is symbolic to national independence as the living behest of the fallen heroes. He further noted the impact such campaigns could have in ensuring environmental stability, and called on the inhabitants to follow up the seedlings thus planted.

Likewise, Lt. Colonel Yosef Haile and Mr. Tekeste Woldetinsae voiced moral satisfaction with reiterating their pledge of honoring the trust of martyrs through taking part in the undertaking.
