Good morning, Your Royal Highness,
Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen.
I am very pleased to welcome you all to this IAEA Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Science and Technology, the first of its kind to be held at ministerial level.
Since the IAEA was established in Vienna in 1957, we have helped to improve the health and prosperity of millions of people by making nuclear science and technology available for generating electricity and fighting cancer, in food and agriculture, in industry and many other areas.
In Vienna, the IAEA is often associated with our work to curb the spread of nuclear weapons. Media coverage focusses on our activities concerning the nuclear programmes of Iran and North Korea. Read more

Asmara, 01 December 2018- China Alumni Association has been established today 01 December at a ceremony held at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China.
The objective of the establishment of the association was to bring together all graduating Eritrean returnees from the People’s Republic of China and work hand in hand with the embassy of the PRC in Eritrea in various fields. Read more

Asmara, 30 November 2018- The annual Eritrean community festival in Riyadh was conducted from 28 to 30 November under the theme “The Unwarranted Sanctions: Foiled through Steadfastness and Resilience”. The festival was officially opened by Foreign Minister Osman Saleh on 28 November.

Minister Osman Saleh accompanied by Ms. Weini Gerezgiher, Charge d’Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy in Riyadh, Col. Melake Teklemariam, Chief of Staff of the Eritrean Navy, and other Embassy officials visited photo, cultural artifacts and innovation exhibitions staged by the students of the Eritrean International School in Riyadh and members of the YPFDJ. Asmara, 23 November 2018- Eritrean community in Jeddah and its environs have held their annual festival from 21 to 23 November under the theme “Vision through Toil”. The festival was officially opened by Mr. Osman Saleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs accompanied with the Eritrean General Consul in Jeddah, Mr. Abdurahman Osman and other officials. Read more

International Peace Day celebration

Asmara, 16 November 2018- International Peace Day was celebrated on 15 November here in the capital Asmara. The Peace Day celebration was organized by the Office of the United Nations in Eritrea.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Osman Saleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs, said that the inalienable right of any people to live in peace without any threats is a sacrosanct aim in the UN Charter reflecting interlink of peace, security and development and that asserts the obligation of each state to uphold collective responsibility.
