Ambassador Saleh holds talks with Angolan officials

Asmara, 22 December 2017- Mr. Omar Saleh, Eritrea’s Ambassador to South Africa and Southern African countries held talks with different Angolan officials focusing on strengthening bilateral relations. Ambassador Saleh was on a working visit to Angola from 15 to 19 December.

Ambassador Saleh met and held talks with Mr. Manuel Domingos Augusto, Minister of External Affairs of Angola and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Jose Bamoquino Zau as well as with officials of the Ministry of Justice on issues of interest to both countries.

In his meeting with the Angolan Foreign Minister, Mr. Manuel Domingos Augusto, Ambassador Saleh indicating that Eritrea and Angola share the same experience of struggle for independence, expressed Eritrea’s readiness to strengthen ties in the political, economic, social and cultural sectors.

Minister Manuel Domingos Augusto on his part affirmed his country’s readiness to reinforce bilateral ties with Eritrea.
