Al Bashir Calls for Maintaining Good Border Relations with EritreaKhartoum – President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir, has called for maintaining good relations with Eritrea and making the border between Sudan and Eritrea one for serving the interest of the two peoples and easing the movement of trade, entry and departure of citizens across the joint border.

This came when he received Wednesday in his office the Governor of Kassala State, Mohamed Yousif Adam, who acquainted President Al Bashir with the overall situation in the state.

The Governor informed President Al Bashir about the efforts being exerted in the fields of education, electricity, health and structural fields as well as patching up the rift in the social fabric and enhancing the relations between the state and its neighbours.

He said that President Al Bashir has given directives to the concerned ministries for implementing commitments pertinent to the implementation of development projects in Kassala State and New Halfa town.

The Governor said that he invited The President of the Republic to attend the launching of the 22nd National Martyr Day in Kassala State, scheduled next November.
