Administrator of Sudanese Red Sea region expresses appreciation for Eritrea’s development accomplishmentsAsmara, 27 May 2013 – During an interview he conducted with Eri-Tv, the Administrator of Sudanese Red Sea region, Dr. Mohammed-Tahir Ela, who came to the Eritrea to take part in Independence Day observances, expressed appreciation for the economic and development accomplishments the country  has registered over the past 22 years.

The senior Sudanese official asserted that such achievement attests to the prevailing potential on the part of the Eritrean people and their leadership regarding nation-building. Moreover, he said that he was impressed with the prevailing peace in the Homeland, besides the hospitality of the people, and pointed out that Eritrea provides conducive environment for investment.

Dr. Mohammed-Tahir went on to disclose that there exist broad prospects of mutual collaboration between Eritrea and the Sudanese region, namely in the domains of tourism, transport, social service, as well as trade and investment, among others. “The consistent flow of Sudanese tourists to Eritrean in general and that of grooms marking their honeymoon in particular is a stepping stone to popularization of the prevailing historical ties between the two peoples,” he added.

The Sudanese regional Administrator further indicated that the two countries possess wide possibility as regards working mutually pertaining to the spheres of information and human resource development vis-à-vis exchange of experience, and that the Red Sea region of Sudan would play significant role in the domain of information.
It is to be recalled that Dr. Mohammed-Tahir held talks with President Isaias yesterday and conducted discussion regarding the agreements previously reached between Eritrea and the Sudanese region as regards developing bilateral relations.
