Activities by Eritrean nationals in Diaspora

Asmara, 28 February 2019 – Eritrean nationals residing in Port Sudan organized a seminar on the objective situation in the homeland and the role of nationals in the national development programs.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, Charge d’Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy in Sudan, said that the Eritrean Government and people are engaged in national development endeavors and parallel with that effort is being exerted to ensure regional integration and cooperation.

Indicating that the Eritrean people have demonstrated utmost perseverance and resilience even at trying times, the participants called for the preservation of the spirit of resilience and for organizing similar seminars in the future.

In related news, the Eritrean community in Khartoum and its environs in cooperation with the Embassy of Eritrea in Sudan graduated 120 youth in literature, short story, drama and others.

At the graduation ceremony conducted on 22 March, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, Charge d’Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy in Sudan, called for organizing similar trainings and that the Embassy and partners will contribute their part.

Mr. Solomon Deres, chairman of the Eritrean community in Khartoum and its environs, on his part, pointing out that the training is part of the effort being exerted to transfer the noble values of the society to the new generation through artistic performances, called on the trainees to upgrade their skills and reinforce contribution.
