50 health personnel complete post-graduate course

Asmara,23 January 2012 – 50 health personnel have graduated after attending post-graduate course in nursing, health administration service organized by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with Scottish University Dandeen.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Dr. Andom Ogbamariam, head of human resource development in the Ministry, said that the graduates have been discharging their duties in different parts of the country, besides attending the educational courses for two years.

Prof. Margaret Smith from Dandeen University on her part noted that the graduates worked hard to complete their studies successfully alongside their regular work assignments. She further expressed conviction that they would make due contribution in ensuring societal welfare.

A representative of the graduating batch noted the importance of attending such courses in upgrading their knowledge and discharging their duties with dedication.

The Minister of Health, Ms. Amna Nurhusein, handed certificates to the graduates and said that the Ministry is exerting utmost effort to upgrade the competences of staff members.
