President Isaias coveys message of good wishes

President Isaias Afwerki has conveyed a message of good wishes to the Eritrean people inside the country and abroad; to the gallant members of the Eritrean Defense Force; as well as to all friends of Eritrea on the eve of the New Year.

In his message of good wishes, President Isaias underlined that the Eritrean people had achieved independence and continue to safeguard their national sovereignty through resolute commitment and efforts, and, by paying huge sacrifices. These attributes and qualities of resilience and determination will surely ensure a bright future for the country in its developmental drive, President Isaias pointed out.

On the occasion, the Ministry of Information is pleased to announce a forthcoming interview with the President on important regional and domestic issues in the coming days that will be broadcast through national media outlets.

Manifestation unitaire à Bruxelles contre les massacres de masse à DjiboutiEnviron 400 personnes ont manifesté devant l’ambassade de Djibouti à Bruxelles pour dénoncer le massacre ignoble de Yonis Mousssa le 21 décembre 2015, ainsi que le massacre d’Arhiba du 18 décembre 1991. Les manifestants composés essentiellement de militants de l’Union pour le Salut National (USN) et du Front pour la Restauration de l’Unité et de la Démocratie (FRUD) ont scandé des slogans hostiles au régime: halte au massacre des innocents. Ils ont demandé de mettre fin aux arrestations arbitraires des sympathisants et des dirigeants de l’USN, et des civils accusés d’être des proches du FRUD.

Ils ont demandé une enquête internationale pour faire toute la lumière sur ces crimes de masse perpetrés par les forces de l’ordre djiboutiennes
et la libération de tous les prisonniers politiques, de Mohamed Ahmed dit Jabha, de AbdourahmanGuelleh dit TX.
