Call made on youth to avoid harmful addictions
Keren, 27 February 2014- At a meeting conducted in Keren to assess the health situation of youth a call has been made on youth to avoid harmful addictions that could endanger their health and for stakeholders to reinforce participation in raising the awareness of the youth as regards health issues.
Dr. Kesetebrhan Misgina, Head of the Health Ministry’s branch in Anseba region, indicated that the Ministry of Education and the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students (NUEYS) make strong contribution in organizing and in raising the awareness raising of the youth, and that with sustainable health related awareness raising programs the prevalence of HIV/AIDS and under age marriage have been significantly reduced. I’ll work with Russians, Yoweri Museveni tells Barack Obama
Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has said he will work with the Russian government because they don’t meddle in the internal affairs of other countries. The comment follows US President Barack Obama’s statement that the relationship between his country and Uganda would be “complicated” if Museveni signs the Anti-Homosexuality Bill into law.
However, while commissioning a new flight simulator at the air force headquarters in Entebbe on Friday, Mr Museveni told Obama to stop interfering in the affairs of Uganda, adding he will work with Russia instead of America. Read more
